Peter W. McDermott is Senior Client Partner within the Corporate Affairs Center of Expertise in Korn Ferry’s New York office, where he specializes in corporate communications and investor relations across all industries. A seasoned executive search consultant with both US and European experience, Peter has an impressive international track record placing senior-level investor relations and corporate communications talent, across a wide spectrum of clients. Peter joined Korn Ferry from Taylor Bennett, a London-based boutique executive search firm that is aligned with Heyman Associates in New York. Peter also spent time in Asia exploring the market to build out the boutique’s functional capabilities in the region.Prior to Heyman Associates, Peter was at James & Company, where he handled searches in media and entertainment. Previously, Peter was an Associate at Sextant Search Partners, where he supported multiple financial services practices through research, candidate identification and outreach.Peter is active in several of the professional organizations that are connected with the top functional leaders; He serves on the board of the Lagrant Foundation, which promotes diversity in the field of public relations. He is on the Operating Committee and co-Chair of the Membership Committee of Page Up, part of the Arthur W. Page Society. He is also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute; and is part of the team that sponsors the Korn Ferry/NIRI biennial International Corporate IR Compensation Study. Peter is a graduate of the University of Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Communications Studies and American Studies, coupled with a concentration in Ethnic Studies and a minor in History.
