Responsibilities included permit reviews, site auditing and inspection, data collection, report preparation and resolution of audit findings. Performed annual audits and inspections at 19 RCRA regulated facilities and provided required RCRA facility training to operational staff. Completed a comprehensive assessment of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) compliance at 35 facilities to determine the applicability of the SPCC regulations. Assessment resulted in the identification of 14 facilities that required SPCC plans and assisted in developing plans in accordance with the 2004 Federal Regulations update. The work resulted in a decrease in the number of areas-of-concern identified by regulatory agencies as well as providing increased preparedness for spills and other environmental incidents.
