Project Control Officer
1.Project Control• Oversee budget & cost control for projects and ensuring the project adheres within the budget.• Maintain and strengthen relationship with existing and new contractors.• Control Issuances of purchase orders.• Follow up on project status.• Liaise with contractors for materials collection or delivery arrangement. Handle complaints or feedback of materials. Check and verify their project documents. e.g : materials balancing report, certificate of acceptance & purchase orders for claiming purpose.• Liaise with project manager & engineers for any price variation of materials and any incurred project issues.• Check and verify that materials usage and wastages are in control.2. Procurement & Logistics • Support the project department in the process of initiation of Request for Info/ Request for Quote/ Request for Proposal for the procurement of components according to contract requirement.• Manage and track Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order on the internal system to make sure the procurement projects are delivered on time.• Create and maintain an inventory of all incoming and current supplies.• Negotiate pricing with supplier for materials purchase.• Communicate with suppliers for early or delayed deliveries as required, drive suppliers to meet on time delivery.• Liaise with forwarder for shipment arrangement for Nexans Products. Provide necessary shipping documents.• Ensure proper documentations of all procurement activities and to support internal and external audits.3. Inventory Management • Ensure there are sufficient stocks / Monitor stock level for stock issuance for project. Coordinate with warehouse personnel for materials release and any stocks issues. Forecast of materials use. Perform goods receipt / goods issuance against purchase orders.• Involves in annual stock take (year end & interim) & audit (including stock reconciliation).• Monitor closely on inventory aging.-reduce obsolete stocks.
