Corten Real Estate is a real estate investment manager that targets middle-market common equity (direct and joint venture), preferred equity and subordinate debt investments in hospitality, multifamily, and office properties located throughout the United States. • CBV was founded to make special situation real estate investments in the middle market and advise real estate operators and corporate private equity firms on tailored real estate solutions.• As a principal, CBV seeks to acquire under-performing transitional assets in which it can create value through physical re-positioning, redevelopment and active asset management. By taking a hands-on approach to optimizing assets and their income streams, CBV is able to capitalize on, and profit from, opportunities in all phases of the real estate cycle. The principals of CBV have successfully led real estate investments representing approximately $5B of transactions with an aggregate targeted return in excess of a 20% IRR.• As an advisor, CBV works with owners of assets to both maximize the value of their holdings and achieve their strategic objectives. In particular, CBV has specialized expertise in advising private equity funds as to the real estate holdings of their portfolio companies, including sale/leaseback and OpCo/PropCo structures. In addition, CBV also focuses on partnering with best in class developers/operators in order to raise capital from institutional equity partners.

As the Head of Private Equity Real Estate, Mr. Yeatman was responsible for managing all aspects of a $2B private equity business consisting of 3 discretionary commingled value add funds and 2 non-discretionary separate accounts. Mr. Yeatman served as Chairman of the Investment Committee from 2012-2015 and exercised final authority over all private real estate investment decisions.

Mr. Yeatman was primarily responsible for the real estate activities of Versa Capital Management; a middle market distress fund with $1B of equity under management in Funds I & II. Activities included formulating real estate strategies for asset rich operating company acquisitions/targets as well as for existing portfolio companies.

Mr. Yeatman was responsible for running all aspects of a $10B plus opportunity fund business for the founding partners. Primary responsibilities focused on sourcing and executing new investments, managing investor relationships, and executing the day to day operations of the firm.
