Continued to provide technical leadership on core engineering team following the acquisition of SessionM by Mastercard.Data Engineering:I lead efforts to improve the reliability and scalability of data platform, and better integrate and syncronize th data platform with core services and team within a distributed system, which involved redesigning various processes, components and workflows.Managed 1 billion user profiles, and terabytes of data, across dozens of enterprise clients, distributed geographically across US/CAN, LATAM, APAC and Europe. Enterprise Engineering:Full stack and backend engineer. Technical lead for a team of 12 Software Engineers while on the Enterprise team.Facilitated the transition of the organization towards accommodating Enterprise customers (ie: Starbucks, Coca-Cola), which included consolidating legacy code, as well as, introducing best practices around automated testing, agile collaboration, continuous integration and deployment, code reviews and release management. This required collaboration and coordination with several teams and leaders across the larger organization within a distributed system.Core Engineering:Led platform enhancements around scalability, reliability, security and automation, while on a core team of 60 Software Engineers. Also continued to review and advise on engineering processes, facilitated by aforementioned platform enhancements.Saved the organization ~$3m+ annually in operational costs, by proposing, architecting and leading the introduction of a multi-tenancy platform, which involved redesigning components across our distributed system comprising of 2 dozen microservices across dozens of existing tenancies accross US/CAN, LATAM, APAC and Eruope. This also involved migrating billions of records (mainly users and transactions within PostgreSQL and Cassandra), and dozens of tables, without incurring any downtime. This reduced client onboarding lead time, increased onboarding volume and made it possible for the business to introduce new product lines.
