The founding members are: BP, Honda, Aviva and Hastings Direct; and, exceeded all profit and revenue targets.

Achievements: - delivered a profitable R&D business with a turnover of approximately £15m with ~130 scientists and engineers (joint accountability with Theme Leader); - founder member of BAE Systems’ Investment in Innovation Fund, a novel vehicle for investing in small technology companies;- won and delivered a highly successful technology demonstrator for the Home Office INSTINCT programme focussed on the protection of crowded places; and- secured the businesses’ largest single contract within the emerging security sector.- appointed as a Technology Fellow.
