In the master thesis project I worked to streamline the flow of a certain type of goods. Firstly, the supply chain from a subcontractor to a customer as well as internal processes were examined. Whenever over-processing was identified in the supply chain, it was eliminated and alternative warehouse layout was proposed. That could effectively reduce internal transport distances and open up for a more flexible warehouse layout.
