As a Manufacturing Support Engineer and Work Planner at Siemens Energy, I play a key role in the relocation of our combustion burner manufacturing operations from Berlin to Budapest. This challenging project involves coordinating processes, ensuring a seamless transition, and maintaining operational efficiency throughout the move.In my day-to-day work, I utilize SAP to manage workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production. I held a multifaceted role where I was tasked with devising innovative solutions to various engineering challenges. This involved creating initial proof-of-concept models using readily available materials, followed by the design of prototypes suitable for mid-term testing. Active participation in mid-term testing allowed me to make iterative enhancements to the designs, ultimately leading to final designs ready for mass production. I also maintained communication and collaboration with a diverse range of domestic and international companies, facilitating effective project coordination. My responsibilities encompassed the design of sheet metal components, shafts, and 3D printedparts for whose printing I also had a hands-on role.I played a key role in the design of the vehicle’s shelving system, and I also assisted in theselection of the most suitable inverter for our application by evaluating cost and features.This involved reaching out to multiple companies and arranging both online and in-person meetings.Similar to this task, I was also responsible for the selection of the storage space flooring andinsulation of the vehicle’s inner walls.Additionally, I undertook supplementary tasks, including the creation of renderings forpresentations and documentation.

From a young age, I actively contributed to my father's workshop andon-site projects, which involved the fabrication of various items such as fences, gates, shelves,and steel structures, as well as their installation. While these tasks may not be classified astraditional engineering work, they provided me with invaluable real-life insights that have greatlyinformed my engineering design skills.To summarize:I gained hands-on experience,such as understanding the effects of welding heat on framecomponents, enabling me to make informed design decisions.My involvement in actual assembly processes equipped me with practical knowledge fordesigning products that are easy to assemble and disassemble.I acquired competence in operating a range of machinery, including MIG and SMAW weldingequipment, drills, grinders, lathes and more.
