site|folio is a very well funded start-up. This SaaS (Software as a Service) hosted web solution was created for the management of Big and Small Box Construction Projects. Built on .Net C#, C++, Java, and with SQL 2005 on the backend this is a full blown document collaboration system and very similar to MS SharePoint. With customers such as Costco, Kroger, Levi’s, Nike, etc., up-time for the system is critical which means that every release must be as near to perfection as possible. Representing the State of Washington, I managed the State's replacement of their payroll/personnel computer system, a 27 year-old mainframe system. The replacement system was SAP/R3 and the vendor was Accenture. I lead all Business Process Documentation and mapping efforts for all payroll system/processes across State Agencies specifically for System Interface Validation. I created the Test Plan that was used for System Integration Testing for all 143 agencies, representing 64,000+ employees in all. Created QA Strategy, Test Plans, coordinated, tracked and reported on all testing efforts. I reported weekly to the HRMS Project Team, Governors’ office and the State oversight committee. I managed over 40 Testers from various Agencies on a day to day basis to validate the functionality of the HR & Payroll Accounting Modules. Provided QA support for Basis Team on Performance Testing objectives and automation, and the FI Team on transaction validation (GL, AR/AP) using some CATT Tools but mostly using SQL.

I was responsible for creating and leading the Quality Assurance (QA) effort on the Summit 2004 Remediation Project, a derivatives trading application. The system processed a low number of transactions (10-20 daily) the notational amount per day averaged $20-$40 billion. I managed a team of 15 QA professionals. I worked within the Washington Mutual (WaMu) Finance BSP group for the Summit 2004 Remediation Project. This project had a very high level of visibility and scrutiny as it had significant Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) ramifications. The Summit project (3rd party Derivatives Trading & Portfolio Management application) had multiple objectives to be implemented in a three-phased approach.

Created and executed manual and automated Test Cases and Test Plans. The product is a “self-managed” anti-virus application that operates at the filter driver level of the Operating System. The product authenticates with a NOC (SQL 2000) to receive updates both for the product and for weekly-posted virus definitions (DATs). McAfee ASaP was tested against 14 languages, supporting all MS Workstation Operating Systems and Internet Explorer Browser versions, as the application is a web-based Java application. Also customize and re-brand McAfee ASaP for 29 partners worldwide. Customers of this product receive updates, and releases transparently around the world within a 19-hour window, distribution to millions of customers in less than 24 hours. Worked with Senior Management on developing an offshore Development and Testing office in Bangalore India. Trained and managed my team of 23 offshore testers. Main duties include validating software applications on Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulated applications utilizing the Code of Federal Regulations as a guideline. Main duties at Weyerhaeuser Company include the strategic planning for the creation of a Quality Assurance (QA) Practice. Selection and creation of QA related Processes and Methodologies for project audits, mentoring, staffing and training. I managed from 72-124 QA and Development professionals in various geographic locations throughout the US and Canada while conducting other standard management activities i.e. budgeting, personal development plans, hiring/firing, training, salaries etc. I have worked on over 14 projects at Weyerhaeuser, all of which were using various N-tier platforms and technologies. I am a certified instructor for the following courses; Rational Enterprise Studio Suite, TestStudio, TeamTest, Automated Software Testing, ClearQuest, and Rational Unified Process. Other responsibilities included assisting customers in validating their approaches to implementing QA in their companies which included implementing automated testing tools, and software engineering methodologies into their organizations. All User Interface and Client/Server testing was conducted by the Quality Assurance team. Both in DOS, and in a 32-bit Windows environment. Reviewed for consistency, efficiency, and accuracy all written SDLC documentation i.e. requirements documents, use cases, test plans. Ensured that all departments were aligned with the short/long term goals and objectives of the company. Educated the company in Quality Assurance Methodologies, and also, mentored managers in various Industry software development standards. Managed the creation and testing of Cosmi's entire product lines (Swift, Swift Professional, Swift Platinum) that consisted of 56 Windows-based and 17 DOS-based "shrink wrapped" software products that are sold internationally. Using CMM & TQM, I customized methodology for the company for the following stages; initialization, planning, analysis & design, development, implementation, testing, support, and management of various software packages.
