Leading card and wallet initiatives for MENA region

Islamabad

• Designed and launched Pakistan’s first on-spot debit card issuance solution, to help increase the uptake of debit cards, solution offers customers to get a personalized EMV debit card linked to their wallet in less than five minutes instead of waiting for several days.• Identified the opportunity and then designed and launched JazzCash NextGen account, Pakistan’s first digital wallet for minors, with real-time onboarding and targeted use cases for engagement. NextGen account unlocked the potential to onboard over 20 million new users on JazzCash.• To achieve growth targets, plan and execute campaigns on a monthly basis to acquire new customers on the card and increase spending. Developed a portfolio of over a million cards by applying different card issuance strategies and enabling multiple card issuance channels.• Partnered with mastercard to launch contactless debit card on mastercard’s own card switch (PTS). This launch resulted in the sustainable growth of over 170% of the monthly card sales of JazzCash.• Designed and launched JazzCash virtual card catering to the needs of customers who wants to securely spend online for their purchases.• Launched first of its kind QR code based airtime offer for generating trials of QR payments.• Leading the go-to-market of all new products and features, post live analysis, and setting metrics to evaluate the performance.• Research and data driven identification of customer problems and opportunities for new products/features. Working closely with design, technology, regulatory and compliance, and other cross-functional teams for the development and timely delivery of products.• Exclusive partnership for QR payments with Pakistan’s biggest food and music festival organized by Coke and successfully conducted nationwide events. More than 25,000 customers and 1,000 merchants have experienced QR payments during the campaign.

• Established partnership with Visa Inc. and launched JazzCash Visa debit card, which was the only non-personalized Visa debit card available at the retail channel for instant issuance. This has increased card sales by more than 200% and card revenue by 350%.• Managing relationships with international and local payment schemes for day-to-day business operations and exploring new solutions.• Established a partnership with FonePay for enabling customers to pay at over 100K mastercard QR merchants using mobile wallet, with JazzCash generating over 70% in the nationwide transaction volumes during the Masterpass QR launch campaign of Mastercard.• Worked with brands including Pizza Hut, Burger King, McDonald’s, Hardee’s, and KFC for joint campaigns aimed at increasing usage.• Managed new and existing customers and implement various business strategies for driving card spends & activation.• Collaborated with DigitalPass (Access Group) for acceptance of JazzCash payments at over 3,000 POS deployed across Pakistan.• Enhanced productivity & efficiency of card sales through the retail channel by providing timely operational support.
