Leading and managing the ads team responsible for the growth of Monthly Active Advertisers

I work with notifications that's a part of a big Growth team here at Yelp. Our team's primary responsibilities are:- Creating and maintaining infrastructure for both email and push notifications- Build and integrate tools that can help other teams run their promotional notification campaigns- Make our notifications infrastructure robust with minimal downtime

Being part of a small performance team, I am responsible for:- Optimizing agoda.com's performance.- Fixing performance issues at every layer of the stack.- Building tools to help other teams identify performance issues in real time using Server Load time and RUM (Real User Metrics, e.g. performance.timing and performance.chrome.loadtimes()).- Built Synthetic measurements system to provide 24 hrs performance data to different teams. - Also introduced user perceptive performance measurement metrics to measure the load time of the most important page component.Achievements:- Reduced 1s on page load time on all the pages on the Desktop version of the website.- Reduced 2s on page load time on all the pages on the mobile version of the website.- Reduce first paint time to 550ms on both Desktop and Mobile versions.- Built performance by experiment framework to help other teams find performance gains in A/B testing.
