I am managing, as a lead, the Accounting and Finance operations of three National Incubation centers (NICs) of Pakistan located in Peshawar, Karachi and Hyderabad which are funded by Ignite (Ministry of IT, Pakistan) on reimbursement model.Key responsibilities/achievements of my job are as follows:1). Prepared the Financial Proposals (Costing/Budgets) of all three NICs as per RFPs which were successful in securing the Funding Agreements for the next term (Average term for an NIC is 6 years). Further, prepared detailed Policy Manuals for all three NICs on Finance, Procurement, Travel and HR which were approved by project donor for enforcement.2). Managing Books of Accounts of all three NICs which includes Project Fund Accounting, bookkeeping in QuickBooks Desktop.3). Budget checking, review of procurement documents for compliance with Funding Agreement & approved Policies at the time of issuance of new Purchase Orders, financial review of Service Level Agreements with vendors, verification of payments to be released to vendors, ensuring compliance with local taxation laws.4). Quarterly financial reporting to Ignite of NICs and preparing their annual financial statements5). Engagement with auditors, and submission of quarterly internal audit reports and annual external audit reports of NICs to Ignite. These audits are conducted by independent Chartered Accountant firms including PWC, Deloitte, BDO and Grant Thornton6). Submission of Change Requests to Ignite for re-appropriation of funds among budget heads, No Cost Extensions and replacement of Key Management Personnel7). Acting as the primary liaison between LMKT, Ignite, PTCL, Lucky Landmark, LMKR, Orbit Startups and other projects partners, handling all financial-related communications and responsibilities.8). Cash flow management of Projects. This includes submission of invoices to Ignite, resolution of Ignite queries and facilitating the release of reimbursement payments from Ignite on a timely basis.

Key responsibilities:1. Extracted the selected branch general ledgers and reports at the HBL Head Office. Cleaned data using Macros and selected samples to be verified at the branch on the basis of analytical skills and branch risk areas/observations reported during previous audits.2. Surprise visited branches to observe whether it is operating as per the Bank operational policies. This includes verification of cash available in the vault with the General Ledger, staff attendance, checking all required notices/circulars are displayed on the notice board etc.3. Verified sampled transactions from hard files/data available at the branch. For example checked payments made to successors of deceased accounts as per court succession certificate.4. Reviewed CCTV footage of the selected branch to observe compliance with vault opening policies, staff attendance and for other anomalies.5. Checked whether Zakat is deducted from all saving accounts as per Nisab on the defined date6. Verified sampled Accounts opened at the branch (including individual and non-individual accounts) during the period of audit for compliance with bank own and State Bank of Pakistan policies.7. Reported audit findings to Regional Audit Head on completion of audit.

Key Responsibilities:• Completed 3.5 years of Articleship mandated by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan.• Prepared Financial Statements for BDO clients including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity and Notes to the Financial Statements• Conducted external audit of BDO clients from various sectors of the industry including Banks, Manufacturing Companies, Hotels, IT and other Service Provider Companies, NGOs/NPOs and Retirement Funds. As part of the auditing process, verified clients transactions and account balances as per International Accounting and Auditing Standards (IAS/IFRS, IAS), compliance with local taxation laws, and finalized clients financial statements, posted adjustments identified during audit after discussions with clients and reported audit observations to the Management/Board of Directors/Donor agencies.• Applied Audit Process Tool (APT), a software used by BDO for conducting audit of client financial statements.
