A continuation of the previous role, bearing full responsibility for the company's analytics business line through the ongoing development of the company's analytics product as well as associated projects and service offerings.

Heading a new department charged with bootstrapping the company’s analytics capability, focusing on the credit management sector. Responsibilities included:• Liaising with area experts to elaborate business needs• Defining product scope and devising narratives and roadmaps leading to an end-to-end automated, explainable analytics experience• Recruiting, training and managing an interdisciplinary team to cover required skill sets at every level of the technology stack, including Big Data infrastructure, machine learning, data warehousing and process automation, as well as the corresponding service offerings• Coordinating all activities leading to product delivery, including the creation of novel frameworks and methodologies for software development, testing, packaging and operation• Nurturing synergies with the company’s other products and services• Leading the product’s adoption by example through multiple client and internal engagements.

Recruiting and managing a 30-person development team; driving process improvement initiatives; contributing to the company's budget and capacity planning, as well as to the formalisation and monitoring of company-wide processes and methodologies; leading design and development of Web application infrastructures for disparate programming environments; managing the entire lifecycle of numerous company products and client projects.

Recruiting, training and managing a 5-person team of testers, rollout and support consultants; coordinating testing and on-site activities with application maintenance and development work.

Participated in numerous sailing expeditions in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

National Service obligation. Duties included administration of heterogeneous computer networks and development of tactical software.

Contracting with IT companies in the fields of microcontrollers and Beowulf supercomputing clusters.

More than 20 students, more than 20 courses and 3 final year projects supervised.

Ph.D., Computer Science (Optimising Compilation)

Thesis title: "Compiler Optimisation of Typeless Languages”. Research areas included register allocation and static code analysis.

Final year project: “A BCPL Compiler for a Single Instruction Computer”; awarded first class honours.
