Mitacs Accelerate Program• Research topic: A novel decentralized service model for sharing and searching user data.• Developed web, iOS and Android messaging applications using the proposed service model.• Implemented front-end changes using React, React Native based on the Figma design, created a library of reusable components (such as text input, button, time zone converter).• Implemented privacy-preserving push notification feature in mobile apps: by sending meta data instead of the real messages via FCM/APNs and performing local Axios calls in the user’s local device to get the real messages (Android bundle and Xcode configuration).• Created importable Postman files for testing various API requests and learned how to design RESTful APIs with NodeJS, Express and Docker.• Used Git as version control and Jira as a project management tool and performed Agile software development methodology.
