Ryan is currently serving as the Technical Principal for Thoughtworks' Hong Kong and Macau Market Unit. He has over 10 years of experience in agile software delivery and consulting across various industries, specializing in extreme programming methodologies such as pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), refactoring, domain-driven design (DDD), microservices, enterprise architecture, and DevOps. He is the technical reviewer for the books "The Clean Architecture" and "Functional Design" and the translator of the second edition of "Agile Software Development: Principles, Patterns, and Practices."In the realm of innovative technology, he organized a specialized Blockchain technology team in 2018, leading the team to provide blockchain-related consulting and delivery services to one of the world's top three automotive companies and a major Chinese commercial bank. He has also spoken at numerous blockchain-related conferences, including BCConf, Radar Summit, and EXIN International Digital Transformation Summit, and translated the book "Blockchain Essentials." He led and participated in the development of two EXIN certification courses: Blockchain Essentials and Blockchain Foundation.In software delivery and R&D efficiency, he joined Thoughtworks' Hong Kong and Macau Market Unit as a Technical Principal in 2022. Internally, he spearheaded the establishment of the Tech Committee to implement scaled agile practices and cloud capability development, driving sensible defaults practice in agile software engineering across several key projects. Externally, he explored new business opportunities, implemented architecture design and DevOps practices in major client projects, and was responsible for the team's R&D efficiency outcomes.
