About Qiang Chen

With over 9 years of research experience in plant biotechnology and microbiology, I am a passionate and innovative scientist who strives to develop sustainable microbial solutions for agriculture. I am currently working at Pivot Bio, a leading company that harnesses the power of microbes to provide farmers with a nitrogen source that stays put. At Pivot Bio, I design and conduct experiments to develop formulations that deliver live microbes to commercial seeds, and coordinate the production concept scale-up process with the pilot plant and supply chain teams. I also mentor junior researchers, participate in hiring decisions, and build up and validate new lab equipment and SOPs.
