I am collaborating with Professors Yung‑Hsiang Lu and Kristen Yeon‑Ji Yun to develop machine-learning tools for professional musicians.During this collaboration, my 4 teammates and I (Evaluator team) obtained two first-place certificates for both the Science and Digital Humanities categories in the Purdue Spring Undergraduate Research Conference.Currently, I am working on an evaluation tool using Python to assess a musician’s playing and posture using audio processing algorithms and computer vision techniques. I am testing and implementing different algorithms and tools to optimize the product's performance. Additionally, I am researching chroma feature extraction methods, dynamic time warping, and onset detection to align musicians’ playing with provided scores

I joined the Legal and Compliance team to help automate the migration of over 70,000 contracts from Catylex, a contract analytics service, to Malbek, a contract lifecycle management service. This tool is estimated to save Elanco about 1400 working hours of manual work for just the pool of existing contracts.I created a Python tool to extract contracts and their data from Catylex by calling APIs, to transform and validate the data to ensure compliance with Malbek, and to construct a payload for upload to Malbek.After completing this tool, I utilized Azure Data Factory and Batch Service to integrate it into Elanco's Legal and Compliance pipeline, allowing for easy runs for each weekly batch of contracts.I also authored documentation outlining operational procedures, testing plans, and strategies for adapting to future requirement changes

I collaborated with Professor Santiago Torres Arias to implement a policy to verify signatures for Sigstore Rekor's transparency log in Python to help detect software supply chain attacks.Verified Elliptic Curve and RSA signatures for log entries and the signed tree head using cryptography libraries.

I joined the Revenue Cycle Cloud team and worked in their project to migrate existing technologies to a new healthcare standard called FHIR. I delivered a Python tool to gather FHIR compliant structure definitions, compare with existing data, and update the PostgreSQL database. I used Github Actions to integrate this tool into the team’s project pipeline.

For about 2 years, I taught a 5th grade student in China over Zoom. Each week, I created my own curriculum for class. We covered Python and C++ programming, English, Math, and US History. My student improved his English through both the curriculum and just talking to me. I learned to bond with someone younger than me and from a different culture.During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, I used the proceeds from classes to donate PPEs to hospitals.
