I’m a second-year student at the University of Virginia, pursuing an Economics degree with an intended double major in Commerce and minors in English and Data Science. I'm passionate about business & entrepreneurship and am eager to build a career in consulting.Currently, I am on a project team with 4 other UVA students and the Office of Strategic Capital to advise the U.S. Department of Defense, developing strategies to optimize critical technology investments and attracting private investors for a $1B federally approved loan. I'm also a Global Macroeconomics Analyst for SWS, UVA's Women-run Investment Fund, where I advise adjustments to stocks in our $105K active investment portfolio. These experiences have sharpened my financial analysis skills and taught me how to evaluate investments, allocate capital, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Outside of consulting, I serve as the Founder & President of UVA's Cosplay Costuming & Crafts (CCC) Club, which has now grown to 220+ members. We partner with the University Library to offer free workshops, teach creative skills, and lower barriers to artistic expression for all. Within the first month since being officialized, we reached 1.2K accounts and 6K social media views, hosted 4 fully booked events, and raised $2K in grants. Using CCC's success as quantifiable evidence, I wrote a paper on adaptable strategies to increase diversity in student engagement and presented my research at the International Symposium of Academic Makerspaces in Sheffield, UK, to an audience of 300+ from 150+ institutions.Previously, I interned at Heilberg Law, a criminal defense office, where I analyzed 14 open cases and supported 7 clients by consolidating Discovery and identifying buried critical evidence. This role honed my problem-solving skills and taught me how to think critically in high-stakes situations, source logical loopholes, and find actionable solutions. As an entrepreneur, I ran a small business with ~$20K in sales and ~500 goods shipped across 5 countries. My shop averaged 5 stars with 200+ reviews and was awarded the "Star Seller" honor by Etsy. I’m also deeply committed to DEI, serving as a student Ambassador for DEI causes throughout high school and college. At UVA, I'm a Peer Mentor with Multicultural Student Services, run a co-chairship on the Student Governance Board at Brown Residential College, and consistently engage with LGBTQ+ services.I’m excited to expand my experiences in business and leadership, and use my creativity to give back to the communities that shaped me.
