Project I: adhesive debonding modeling and simulation for feminine care productPerformed collaborative research involving realistic human body fit simulation and adhesive modeling with P&G scientists to improve product designs and improve consumer satisfaction.Completed the fracture analysis of 90- and 180-degree peel tests, verify and validate with designed empiricalrigid quick peel tests for various back sheet materials.Conducted cross-validation and calibration of cohesive parameters using different FEA codes.Converted the full pad model from LS-DYNA format to ABAQUS format.Developed a finite element model for virtual rigid quick peel testing (adhesion and debonding) of femininecare products to replace physical testing and reduce development cost.Developed the best and easy maintained FE representation of full pad peel model with DH215 back sheet.Built a high-fidelity numerical simulation which enabled the possibility to visualize adhesion failure and backsheet failure.Integrated Mylar RQP test results into full pad peel and body fit model to deliver the desired consumerexperiences for “stay in place” and “hard to remove” in Famine Care business.Created smart learning report used internally of P&G.Project II: research and learning based fundamental understanding of hair dynamics and hair simulation.Complete visualization & cross-validation of fiber simulations with Fiberlab®, Cosserat® and Blender®.Made significant progress on single fiber adhesive/bending simulation and fiber coordinates analysis.Hands-on experience in developing a user-friendly render farm tool for high-performance computing (HPC),used for rendering single hairs, hair tresses, and full-head hair.
