My passion for business comes from my family’s influence. When I was still a little child, my parents used to take me to their company. I was exposed to all kinds of financial charts, economic graphs, and business reports. A curious child as I, I asked my parents to explain all those perplexing yet fascinating figures. Over the years, I naturally nurtured the interest in the business. As I explore the academic choices at the university, I am particularly fascinated quantitative-skill-based courses. I can almost feel myself savoring the tasks of tabulation, problem identification, advice seeking. In addition, I love the art of communication, which is an indispensible part of business operation, as the large volume and multi-faceted nature of this discipline always entail cooperation. It is out of my true interest in accounting-related work that I set my career goal. In the short-term, I want to pass the CPA exam both in China and in the United States. I wish to keep myself preoccupied with challenges and questions, because problem-solving helps me to concentrate, and concentration defines who I am. I want to embark on a path that resonates with my inner identity—a person of full absorption.
