    I was working as a summer intern in IoT group in CableLabs. This internship started from brainstorming, then marketing investigation and finally implements. The project was about smart doorway. you can receive a notification with picture of your visitor once someone presses the door bell. You can then do video-chat with them and open/lock the door remotely. It can also remind you if you forget to lock the door. It has a built-in motion sensor which can automatically catch abnormal behavior and record the video. What I did in this project are: 1. Brainstorming to pick up potential projects2. Marketing investigation to finalize project which will be compelling in the future3. implementation: (1) Device purchase and software installation (2) Used Raspberry Pi to send streaming video (UDP) via RTP to Android device once pressing the door bell (3) Sent notification email with picture attached in my Gmail account (4) Built an App called Cabao, which can receive the streaming video and enable video chat and video recordI really like this work and it gave me an experience of how to carry on an innovative project from beginning. Besides implementation which is related to my major, I also stepped into different areas, like finance analysis, marketing investigation, Hypothesis analysis, etc. More details are in my presentations and video below.
