Graduate Research Assistant
Completed in-depth materials research and advanced experiments using lasers, metallic solutions, and polymer films. Analyzed materials with digital microscopes, optical spectrometers, and electron spin resonance spectrometers. Conducted adhesion and conformity testing with Dektak profilometer. Drafted testing procedures and fabrication protocols for various experimental films and solutions. Compiled test data and generated charts, graphs, theoretical models, and reports to clearly demonstrate results and support the interpretation of experimental data. Delivered presentations of research findings at national, international, and local conferences. Organized and led a professional organization for Optical Professionals. • Organized and led seminar series that invited leading researchers in the field of materials science to NSU. Speakers included ultra-fast lasers pioneer Dr. Peter Delfyett; biomedical optics pioneer Dr. Irving Bigio; and Nobel Laureate William Phillips.• Researched and submitted a 300-page dissertation on 3D microstructures written with ultrashort laser pulses in under 15 weeks. Dissertation was copyrighted in July 2019 under the title “Investigation of 3D microstructures using Direct Laser Write fabrication for hybrid dielectric/metallic composite thick film project.”
