About Michael Shepherd
41 yrs in heavy industry to date but,19 yrs as a dual ticketed E/I technician in a 900 t/day bleached craft pulp & paper mill. Two terms as Instrument shop coordinator in same and later spending five years running my own E/I service truck sub-contracting to various firms in the industry sectors of power generation, waste & water treatment and onshore oil & gas performing PM’s/maintenance/construction & plant turnarounds as well as E/I Quality Control and Construction Co-ordination I left Canada for Moscow in early 2004 to marry and work teaching technical English to Russian engineers at an American/Russian joint venture. I then joined the early construction phase of the SAK II LNG/OET plant on Sakhalin Island, Russian Far East as the Instrument Group Chief QC Supervisor from August of 2005 until September 2008. I had eleven Filipino and two Russian staff. After completing the first LNG/OET plant in Russia I took a hiatus to work on setting up my Russian wife in a Latvian Property Development/Language School business. My wife who spent fifteen years in the Russian Oil & Gas sector now runs her own language school in Riga, Latvia and abroad as we now reside in Canada full time.Upon our return to Canada I took a position with Simplot, Portage la Prairie as a shift maintenance electrician from Nov 17/17 to Sept 17/19 & now have a position as Instrumentation Technician at VITA Health Products at 150 Beghin Ave, Winnipeg.Looking for the right fit. Likes guitars! ;)
