My role is a hardware project manager, presenting hardware project planning and status to higher management. Functions I represents: component engineering, product configuration management, Electronics and mechanics. In project I daily work for: supplier/components selection, hardware quality, risk, cost, schedule, man power, purchase-request control and management. Daily cross-function work with teams of world-wide suppliers, software, procurement, manufactory, compliance, quality, custom-support …Major Products:-IP Phone product sustaining, including custom support, manufactory support, 2nd source component introduction, COS issue and so on.-IP DECT Base station development including whole development life cycle daily hardware management and design.

Products List: Dimension3100 (Intel915GV); Optiplex210L (Intel915GV); Optiplex170L (Intel865GV); Dimension 4600C (Intel865GV) .Being a role of Lead Engineer, co-working with US team, following Dell Mother Board development processing, I managed Vendor mother board design. Coordinate both ODM/Dell and cross-function Team. Design trade-off decision. The quantity of my products is about 4 Million units of quantity with the best quality data.Before project kick-off, I am involved in business decision of platform core team from technical side . Major on following items : Power Budget/Profile , Cost/Risk Evaluation , Candidate Vendors Evaluation , Quota Evaluation , Development Schedule… ; During project cycle , I am responsible for ODM design specifications making ; Schematic / Layout / BOM / Schedule / Test Plan review and approval ; Board Bring-Up, Daily technical team management and coordinate with cross-function team[EMC , Power , Audio , Signal Quality, System Test, Mechanical Engineering …]; Issue root cause and finalize action plan of un-fixed issues with service/factory team , Gerber Out and Mass Production BOM Approval .After project released, I am responsible for field issue fixed, component change approval, cost reduction and sustaining.
