As a member of the OpenLDAP Engineering team, I coordinate code changes between the development and release branches, prepare mature branches for release, and manage the bug tracking system. As a member of the Core team, I partake in overall decisions affecting the project, such as features and issues to prioritize, technical direction, and improvements to the backend infrastructure.

As the build architect for Symas Corporation, I am responsible for the builds, packaging, and release of the Symas OpenLDAP product across multiple platforms. This involves working closely with several open source projects, including Heimdal Kerberos, OpenSSL, and OpenLDAP. As the platform architect for Zimbra Collaboration, I provide direction and guidance on the open source software used within the product. As a part of this role, I handle integration of third party software such as Postfix, OpenLDAP, Amavis, SpamAsassin, OpenSSL, ClamAV, OpenDKIM, and numerous other Open Source software into the Zimbra product. As the lead for release engineering for the Zimbra Collaboration product, I oversee a globally located team for which I provide direction and priority in how to build, package, and release the Zimbra Collaboration Suite. I additionally provide legal input and guidance for complying with various OSS licenses and their interactions. My team is also responsible for administrating various internal pieces of infrastructure (SCM system, various build VMs, etc) and the production Zimbra Collaboration systems.

My job duties with Symas consisted of teaching classes for customers on OpenLDAP build, configuration, and deployment, and working on premise with customers to assist them with scope and planning for migrating existing systems to Symas based identity and LDAP directory solutions.

As a member of the central infrastructure team at Stanford University, I administered hundreds of servers running a mix of Linux and Solaris providing backend services such as LDAP, Kerberos, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Shibboleth, AFS, and MySQL database instances. In addition, I compiled and provided hundreds of software packages, both open source and commercial, to the campus community. In addition, I provided technical direction for the use of the central LDAP servers, LDAP Schema design, and helped oversee the migration from Solaris to Linux.

At Motorola, I was a member of the Automated Test Division, where I was responsible for automating over 3,000 cellular tests and writing the framework for that automation.
