Assisted with planning 10+ events ranging from panel discussions to all-day summits. I drafted communications such as speaking invitations to notable public figures and emails to event affiliates and attendees. I also managed multiple event projects in Asana, where I assigned tasks and deadlines to members of other teams (communications, social media, and development). My other responsibilities included researching and booking venues, creating run-of-show documents, and using Canva and InDesign to create and print materials ranging from name tags to signage. Additionally, I created event listings on Eventbrite and the Goldman School website, as well as promotional graphics for events; I also led outreach by communicating with the Berkeley Public Affairs team, various newsletters, student groups, and professors to promote events.In September 2023, I assisted with planning the inaugural Berkeley Public Policy Conference; I managed communications with 60 speakers regarding scheduling and event details, scheduled pre-event prep calls for panels, and drafted questions for a speaker Q+A session.

Supported the Berkeley Food Network's base of 500+ volunteers. Berkeley Food Network is a nonprofit organization that uses an innovative, community-centered approach to food sourcing and distribution. BFN volunteers support its food pantries, home delivery service, and redistribution efforts. I facilitated BFN's transition to using Bloomerang Volunteer as a scheduling software platform, learning the software in two weeks and providing other staff members with training. Using Bloomerang Volunteer and Microsoft Excel, I analyzed volunteer scheduling data to determine statistics such as rate of volunteer turnover, shifts with highest risk of understaffing, and rate of attrition from initial volunteer interest to shift signup. I created reports for the Volunteer Manager to present to the BFN administrative team, Board of Directors, and potential donors; I also advised volunteer recruitment and retention strategies. Utilizing Airtable, Microsoft Word, and Excel, I created monthly volunteer shift calendars and rosters. I created PowerPoint presentations and video tutorials for Bloomerang Volunteer software training, volunteer orientations, and BFN's Volunteer Ambassador program.

Stage managed 40+ concerts for various ensembles: handled lighting, coordinating with front of house, and stage changes; directed ensembles of 80-90 musicians to enter, exit, and return to the stage. Handled emergency situations, communicating with UC Police Department, hall manager, and student team. Led crews of 4-5 staff members in setting up and breaking down for rehearsals and concerts: created plans for setups with multiple moving parts and delegated tasks accordingly. Supervised hall rentals from outside groups.

Answered 20+ calls per day from prospective Berkeley students regarding admissions and applications. Supported outreach efforts by presenting on Berkeley student life at admissions sessions and submitted personal experiences to be featured in promotional materials.

Coached speech and debate at The Practice Space, an afterschool program for underserved school districts. Designed and facilitated lesson plans; managed classrooms. Attended trainings on educational practice, goal implementation, and lesson structuring.

Managed concert logistics: sent program details, required instruments, and run-of-shows to concert hall manager. Applied for funding and ASUC grants, planned weekly meeting agendas, and reached out to guest speakers.

Advanced equitable professional development through establishing free access to LSAT prep materials, organizing professional headshot sessions, and coordinating partnership with The Princeton Review to obtain program discounts.

Managed phonebanks of 50-60 volunteers, called 300+ AAPI voters and 500+ Arizonan voters to ask for support in the 2022 midterm elections and to inform them of early/mail-in voting; recruited 20 volunteers. Trained in using Voter Activation Network/Votebuilder to enter sensitive voter and volunteer recruitment data.
