My name is Quansa Murray. I am attending Lehman College part-time and worked full-time in the construction industry for the past 15 years as a general laborer for the local 79 hiring hall. I am a very passionate individual who brings experience, a creative approach to solving problems, and the ability to embrace change. I am devoted to my craft and believe in treating people fairly and respectfully. I aim to graduate from Lehman College December 2024 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. I will apply my degree to a site safety officer or chief safety inspector position, where I can use my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in today's competitive market. During my work experience, I have boosted team efficiency and production by correctly operating equipment like forklifts, Bobkats, and scissor lifts, maintaining proper form, ensuring safety when lifting heavy materials, and reducing the risk of back injuries by 98%. Led and mentored a team of 12 laborers who assisted 20 bricklayers in building the JPMorgan Chase building at 270 Park Avenue, 72 stories high. With my work experience and education, I am confident I can achieve and perform at the top level.
