December 2011 through October 2012 I was elevated from sales associate to co-Halloween Manager, for my hard work. I had to step down from the position last fall however, to concentrate on my senior thesis for graduation from college.

I have expert ability to use FMSS and other data systems to track and manage Facility Operations and Maintenance activities in my work here at Dinosaur National Monument (DINO), as well as limited work in the FMSS Databases of Golden Spike National Historic Site (GOSP), Timpanogos Cave National Monument (TICA), Fossil Butte National Monument (FOBU), and Grand Teton National Park (GRTE). I also have been able to run requested reports for each of these Parks through the report database AMRS. I have been able to bundle work orders requested by parks in the Project Scoping Tool, and create estimates for work to be done through the cost estimating system CESS. I also have helped in the Federal Real Property process.

My duties included trash pickup along roadsides, in campgrounds, on trails and around housing areas. I mowed lawns, watered shrubbery, cleaned bathrooms and offices, and did other general maintenance duties as assigned, including painting, minor carpentry repairs, fence repairs, trail clean up, moving furniture in housing area, etc. I was also responsible for gathering field data on all park assets, including buildings, trails, roads, signs, fences, water systems, etc. This involved traveling the park, using a government vehicle and measuring buildings for square footage, including windows, doors, cabinets, etc., taking GPS readings for location, taking digital pictures of all assets, documenting state and county locations of assets, measuring for accessibility standards, and documenting and reporting to meet FY09 Washington requirements. I was required to provide remediation suggestions and recommendations on all condition assessments I performed in the field, as well as documenting the data in the computer program. This was not a clerical function, but required field experience and knowledge of all maintenance and facility related duties, including custodial, carpentry, plumbing, road maintenance and fence building. I performed inspection duties on some assets after repairs were made. I entered FMSS timesheets and work orders into the FMSS system, usually at the end of the week, sometimes bi-weekly, depending on field duties. I updated, maintained and improved the FMSS database. I participated in the FRP and helped other Hub parks with their FMSS needs (primarily ADA accessibility condition assessments). I answered questions from the visiting public and provided information about various sites within the Monument and the surrounding area. I operated Government vehicles and other equipment.
