With 20+ years of experience with 4 major companies in the test prep and supplemental education industry, I have amassed an abundance of knowledge! While each company I was with possessed attributes I valued, I was not able to find one that pulled all aspects together to live up to my high standards. With a few other highly experienced and like minded colleagues, Enhanced Prep was formed, with the design of elevating the experience for all involved: students, parents, counselors, and tutors. An energetic up and coming test prep company that offers courses and tutoring for Grad test types, with a focus in pre-health. My duties consisted of: campus presentations; hiring, training, managing campus reps; developing club partnerships; advisor outreach; data analysis; institutional sales.

I mentored an amazing group of full time test prep and academic tutors to provide tutoring to families and students. These dedicated mentors help students with score improvements, increased understanding of school subjects, and become lifelong learners by focusing on growth mindset.

I serve as the primary point of contact for parents and school counselors. I oversee the tutoring process by helping to set specific goals and monitoring the effectiveness of the tutoring. By partnering with middle and high schools, I deliver informative presentations, standardized practice tests, and exceptional service for academic and college acceptance success.

I work with students and families on improving standardized test scores, college admissions counselling, and increasing academic success. I also train prospective teachers and tutors on the ISEE and SSAT. Conducting presentations for school counselors, parents, and students is also a regular responsibility.

I was responsible for weekly Lunch and Learn presentations for ongoing training for all full time staff in 32 offices. I was also responsible for writing the training curriculum for new hires on the sales team, as well as presentation training for current employees,This included working with the local executive director or regional vice president to establish timelines, ownership, and evaluations of each learning goal.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of the West, I was deployed to 13 various markets, either long or short term. I was used as an emergency hold for long term vacant positions, training new employees, improving processes, and researching and progressing best practices

I established relationships with mentoring and scholarship programs to help inner city students prepare for scholarships. I developed programs for local universities to help increase student athletes qualifying for scholarships be increasing college entrance scores through prep courses. I was responsible for hiring and training staff and writing and managing a budget. I earned national certification in presentations and Head to Head marketing events. During this time, I grew market revenue by over 37% and EBITDA contribution by over 59%. I won the National award for creative problem solving in both 2013 and 2014.

Worked with schools, colleges, and community programs throughout Washington and Oregon in person, and Montana, Idaho, and Alaska remotely to promote a college going culture. During my time with Sylvan, I developed from a part time teacher, to an account manager for middle school & high school students, to an Assistant Director helping to open 3 new locations and transition ownership of 2 others, to Center Director. I developed curriculum plans for over 100 students, including monthly parent conferences and quarterly conferences with school teachers. I created and developed a SAT prep course for Pierce County Sylvan centers and served on the marketing development team for Sylvan Corporate for SAT/ACT prep programs. I was responsible for hiring, training, and managing a staff of 20+ teachers. During the three years I oversaw the Auburn location, I increased revenue 110% year over year by signing exclusive contracts with local Indian tribes to provide after school tutoring programs.

I managed records for 500+ students a quarter, including attendance, homework, and tests. I was also responsible for conducting new student orientations. I was tasked with identifying and developing support documents to help bridge the most common and reoccurring learning gaps. I was also responsible for test grading, including test and answer key production for four different math courses. I was nominated twice by students for the Classified Employee of the Year award.
