A career could not be more fulfilling. I am - responsible for working closely with Lapeer County companies, municipalities, and prospective businesses. By promoting the business and economic development interests within Lapeer County, this position provides guidance to individuals and companies to establish, relocate, or expand their businesses within the community. I assist in the planning and coordination of community development projects and assist commercial applicants with local and State of Michigan permitting processes. WIth boundless enthusiasm provide assistance in the development of short and long term economic and community development plans, as well as the gathering of information and preparation of studies, reports, and recommendations to achieve such goals. This almost always involves the preparation and maintenance of information on utilities, taxes, zoning, transportation, community services, financing tools, and incentives.

Responsible for leading the organization's economic development business recruitment efforts. Quentin's main goal is to recruit companies in the industrial, commercial and retail sectors to locate in the county, and to support business growth strategy and entrepreneurial programs. In this role, Quentin promotes available properties; assists in developing new sites; conducts competitive research on companies and industry segments; generates leads; writes and responds to request for proposals; and networks with business and real estate industry professionals. Quentin also oversees the development of entrepreneurial programs associated with the state-designated Smart Zone.
