After graduating from the University of Brussels with a Master degree in biomedical sciences (magna cum laude), I acquired government funding (FWO-SB), which allowed me to start a PhD traineeship specialising in cancer immunology. I presented my PhD research on international conferences and won awards for best presentation, highlighting my communicative skills. Furthermore, during my PhD I gathered organisational soft skills. I organised several events meaning to bridge the gap between academia and industry (Bioinitiative group). Both parties were invited to give a TED oriented talks to students and young researchers in relaxed atmospheres like city center venues. I was also active in the research council (UMCOR) from the University Hospital in Brussels, showing my commitment and motivation for research and healthcare. Moreover, I followed several courses organised by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Innovation in Healthcare (I3H) during which I’ve learned passionately about the importance of continuous innovation in healthcare. My interest in the unique regulatory framework from the EU was fueled after performing an internship at the European Commission as an external audit assistant. In 2021, I was promoted to doctor in medical sciences. Following, I decided to start a new adventure, pursuing my passion for the pharmaceutical industry in business development. Therefore, I joined Prothya Biosolutions as business development coordinator, aiming at creating value for the company and the patients we serve with our life-saving products. After 2 years of experience in Pharma, I decided to join a promising CRO offering unique and expert services to empower preclinical developments for Biotech (Worldwide).
