Created and optimized thyroid hormone and lipid assays on a cartridge based biosensor platform.Provided assay development support by setting up and maintaining reagent stability and reagent purification programs.Directed the daily and weekly activities of 1-3 research assistants.Collaborated with scientists and engineers on instrument and sensor development strategies.Worked with industrial representatives on special projects to explore assay optimization.

Provided assay support in CYP inhibition and assay development efforts in several company projects. My efforts helped the company gain a better understanding of what compounds would be best suited for continued travel through the drug pipeline to future in vivo based studies.

Worked independently and in tandem with my supervisor to drive a Toll like receptor-4 based cell-signaling project (emphasis on the actions of kinases) from discovery to the establishment of a lead compound series within 1 year. The kinase mutants I developed in support of the project led to a better understanding on how the compounds affected the cell-signaling pathway under scrutiny.
