Bnbflow is a web application targeted at Airbnb power users and property managers at large. Bnbflow helps its members manage large fleets of apartments and corresponding bookings with ease. It enables them to have an aggregated view on their business and streamline repetitive workflows. You can think of Bnbflow as an "autopilot" for Airbnb and similar platforms (HomeAway, FlipKey, …).As the founder of a startup, I came up with the idea to solve a problem I had. As word of mouth around my application gained importance, I understood there was an opportunity beyond that. I then decided to invest time and resources to get deeper into the identified problems. After a fair amount of time spent studying the short term rental market and its competitors, I created a vision for a product, put together a roadmap, gathered a team to execute on the idea and invested my time and money into developing a solid MVP.A senior designer helped the company implement the best UX possible for our use cases, and put together an efficient visual identity. Two developers worked with me on implementing both the frontend and backend of the application based on cutting edge technologies (Ruby on Rails, React, amongst others). I have also surrounded myself with a number of advisors, to get regular and unbiased feedback.The application manages a total of 600 apartments and this key metric is growing rapidly.

- Tech lead for the analytics and big data part of our business.- Developed an entire service to collect, structure, store, and query engagement data under rigorous time constraints (sub 100ms queries / 3m data points collected per day / ~1B data points per year). This required the implementation of a robust API associated clients used by most backend and frontend applications.- Contributed to the transformation of Crowdtap as a monolithic application, into Crowdtap as a Service Oriented Architecture (S.O.A.) with more than 10 backend services, and multiple in browser Javascript client applications. This transition was made possible and smooth by the development and use of an in house, open source, publisher/subscriber system called Promiscuous (https://github.com/promiscuous-io/promiscuous).- Worked with top of the line technologies (Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, D3.js […])- Enforced top of the line software development processes (Lean approach, Agile development, continuous deployment, continuous integration / B.D.D. / T.D.D.)- Enforced system monitoring best practices and accountability within the team- Interviewed more than 100 engineers, recruited 15.- Contributed to open source projects

- Responsible for designing and implementing a web platform, resembling a social network, for the interior design industry, from scratch.- Developed monolithic applications with LAMP & Javascript/jQuery.- Advocated for the use of a framework as a base technology for the tech team (Rails, then Symfony for an easier transition). The team finally implemented and in house MVC framework, and used only the Doctrine ORM from the Symfony project.- Advocated for the use of GIT instead of SVN as a version control system.

• Responsible for structuring, and managing the merge of a 20 years old database with the latest generation of Oracle database for the French national employment agency (Pôle-Emploi). 45 Million accounts.

• Performed a security audit on the Google Android OS. Released a white paper for internal use only, analyzing new attack vectors introduced by the open source OS, threatening the SFR telecommunication network and its users.• (This paper was written in the context of an industrial study, during my master at Supelec)[See my resume for further details]

• Involved in the annual financial audit of prestigious companies: Hotel George V, EADS Astrium, Goodrich Actuation Systems, Cegelec. (Approximately 1 billion € or over, yearly revenue companies)
