As Engineering Manager for the Object Storage team at Scaleway, a leading European cloud provider, I oversee the development of our in-house S3-compatible Object Storage service. This service handles hundreds of petabytes of data, petabytes of metadata, and hundreds of gigabytes of traffic per second. My responsibilities and achievements include:- Management of a team of 5 engineers.- Roadmap planning with the Project Manager.- Leading of the rituals of the Object Storage team: daily, sprint planning and sprint retro.- Customer interviews.- Recruitment of engineers, from manager interviews to technical interviews- Coordination with other Engineering Managers to ensure optimum product development.- Tailored career development: performance evaluation and feedback delivery.- Leading of the development and deployment of the new S3 gateway for the Object Storage service, dramatically improving stability and halving performance metrics for p50, p90 and p99 on GET.- From single AZ (Availability Zone) Object Storage to multi AZ Object Storage in three Regions.

As DevOps Engineer for the Object Storage team at Scaleway, a leading European cloud provider, I contribute to the development of the S3-compatible Object Storage service. My responsibilities and achievements include:- Production incidents management and handling of post-mortems if required.- On-call duty.- More than a dozen monthly deployments in production.- Hundreds of petabytes of data, petabytes of metadata, hundreds of gigabytes of traffic per second.- Leading of the implementation of the new S3 gateway for the Object Storage service.- Leading of the bucket metadata backend’s migration (billions of S3 objects!).- Implementation of new S3 features such as Bucket Website and Bucket Policy.- Bug fixes to ensure compatibility with S3.- Optimization of performances and scalability improvements (caching, load balancing, ...).- Deployment and configuration of a CockroachDB cluster and a PostgreSQL HA cluster.- Continuous addition of QA test suites to ensure code quality.- Monitoring and alerting on our services with Prometheus, Alertmanager and Grafana.- Customer tickets escalation.

I joined the Object Storage team as an intern a few months after its creation. I developed the microservices using Go that were needed to launch the product: - Implementation of the Object Storage authentification microservice- Implementation of the Object Storage quota microservice- Co-organization of a Hackaton at 42 to promote the launch of our first Object Storage endpoint
