In my senior year of college, I was accepted to participate in SJSU's DBH PR and Advertising Agency. Through out this year, I experienced being a team lead for Project Hired which was a non profit organization to help people with disabilities find jobs. This experience improved my skills in rebranding, logo design and project planning. I was a part of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce team as one of the two graphic designers that was in charge of logo redesign as well as website development. Unfortunately, this client did not pan out the way we hoped, but I still take those project as a stepping stone to adding to my skills. I part-took in being involved with one of our longest running clients, Coyote Creek, where I attempted my hand in writing blog posts, but mostly spent time posting them.Most of my year was focused heavily on being part of the AAF team, where I spent my time involved with creatives. I define creatives taking a problem, flipping it upside down and inside out and producing a one of a kind solution. In one year, I built myself my own brand being part of the AAF team. I worked day and night brainstorming and creating an advertising campaign plan with my team for our client, Tai Pei. Being part of a team, I was heavily involved with: team research/brainstorming, taste testing, brand exposure, planning, presentation planning.As an individual graphic designer on the team I put my creative mind to help with video/ photo editing, creating pages for the advertising campaign booklet, creating the workable snapchat filter, building social media appearance, development of a working phone app. and creating app content. As a team, we, SJSU AAF team, won the AAF regional conference and was ranked one of the top 19 school in the nation. I am so humbled by this experience, but I am coming out more confident about my graphic design and creative skills.
