At Shade Mountain Golf Course I assisted in merchandising and tournament operations. I also conducted a number of individual lessons, group lessons, and golf camps. In addition to these responsibilities, I served as the head of outside operations and the outside operations staff. Shade Mountain Golf Course is a very small rural public course that has an average number of rounds played per year resulting in little income. While working there I helped implement plans that boosted sales in the golf shop with an innovative merchandising technique that focused on display placement, fullness, and attractiveness. The Head Golf Professional allowed me to run a weekly mixed couples golf tournament that included many different games of golf, club credit, and a dinner.

Rumson, New Jersey

While working at Rumson Country Club I assisted mainly in the merchandising, tournament, and instructional operations. Much of my time spent working there focused on conducting golf camps that were offered to both juniors and adults. I also gained experience by serving as a caddy to players on weekends and tournament days. My main responsibility in the golf shop included club repair, merchandising, and inventory management. On occasion, I helped the outside operations with duties such as setting and cleaning the range, filling water, club cleaning and bag storage, and golf car staging.
