Student at Wilfrid Laurier University, pursuing a Bachelors in Kinesiology. With my previous experience in the fitness community through volunteering and careers in both pilates and aquatics I am naturally eager to continue to contribute to the athletics and fitness community. I am passionate about event planning, marketing and organization in the athletics industry, specifically how I can create a enjoyable environment for people with all levels of fitness. In my spare time away from school, I am a Aquatic Facility Supervisor at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I manage and lead all the lifeguard staff, and ensure that the bookings and facility runs smoothly. I am also a head guard/lifeguard and instructor at the City of Richmond, where I manage the lifeguard team on shift, provide water safety education and teach patrons to be safe in the water. Both of these jobs have allowed me to strengthen my planning and organizational skills and help people in my community enjoy their fitness in the aquatics environment. Teaching swim lessons has also taught me many important skills such as clear communication, optimism, quick problem solving and how important it is to bring good energy. I am motivated to learn from and contribute to the the athletic and fitness industry, and to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to each team I am a part of.
