Accountable for overall strategic direction and oversight of policies, programs and activities directed at building an effective organizational culture and brand with both internal and external stakeholders. Leads the enterprise’s people solutions, employee development, stakeholder engagement, marketing and reputation management efforts. Facilitates building corporate character and advising CEO and Board on key business growth strategies.

Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategic communications policies and programs targeted at internal and external audiences, including integrated digital marketing, corporate reporting, issues management, social and media relations, and stakeholder engagement activities to advance Technical Safety BC’s brand and deliver on our mandate to enhance the technical safety system in BC.

Responsible for developing, leading and implementing strategic corporate communications policies and programs to communicate with stakeholders, both internal and external, and to develop strategic responses in support of issues/crisis management. Also responsible for all aspects of media relations.

- Responsible for the areas of Strategy Management and Corporate Performance Management, including the planning, management and successful development of CTC’s Corporate Plan, Annual Report and Performance Management Framework (the Balanced Scorecard).- Responsible for the effective management and functioning of the Office of Strategy Management, including ensuring the leadership of strategy management meetings that drive organizational performance and alignment. - Responsible for providing the tools and products that ensure that the CTC is a strategy-focused and results-based organization through a highly effective corporate planning and corporate performance process.

- Acted as lead official on CTC corporate communications, media and public relations files, including issues and reputation management, and leveraging social media applications to support media strategies.- Provided strategic leadership and tactical advice on issues management, crisis communications and general media relations to Senior Management and Board of Directors.- Maintained strong links with key media contacts and partner/stakeholder communications officials.- Managed preparation of CTC news releases and media events; acted as CTC spokesperson.- Managed development of strategic communications plans and public relations materials, including key messages, speeches, presentations, policy position briefs, news releases, media lines, Qs & As (response points), brochures, media kits, video scripts, and parliamentary committee briefs.- Responsible for monitoring/measuring effectiveness of media and issues management strategies.- Skilled in public speaking, delivering presentations and conducting media interviews.- Trained in media issues/crises management.
