As an Associate Manager, Subaward at PSI, I play a key role in supporting the management of contractual relationships with subawardees under the Global Operations Africa portfolio. This includes actively participating in the entire subaward management process, from the initial development of agreements to the ongoing monitoring, tracking of subaward payments to subaward closeout.In addition to my core responsibilities, I also contribute to the professional development and capacity building of subaward staff within PSI Network Members. This includes providing guidance and training on PSI's required tools and templates, subaward management best practices, donor compliance, and PSI's internal policies and procedures.Collaboration is a cornerstone of my role, as I work closely with colleagues in Global Operations and PSI's Network Members to ensure that subaward management aligns with overall program management objectives, donor requirements, and PSI's organizational policies. This collaborative approach extends to working closely with the Grants and Contracts Department to ensure that all subaward management activities are conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.Overall, my role as an Associate Manager, Subaward at PSI is dynamic and multifaceted, requiring a combination of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence in subaward management practices.

Provide routine administrative, operational, financial, and grants/program management support to the Global Operations, Africa Program Management Team (PMT) and Network Members (NM) focused on managing a diverse portfolio of subawards.

Support all grants administration processes and ensure that information and data from the field is captured, documented, analyzed and reported within a results-based management model and in a timely manner for donors and internal purposes. Support effective management of contracts and grant agreements. This includes developing and embedding best practice to comply with donor financial rules, supporting proposal budgeting, analysis of institutional income, donor contract expenditure tracking and monitoring. Management of DRC’s grants module in its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system – Dynamics including its maintenance for optimal performance. The role will ensure staff are inducted and continuously updated in the utilization of the grants module.

Provide assistance to the RGM in supporting 9 countries within East Africa and Great Lakes: Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, South Sudan, DR Congo, Ethiopia/Djibouti, Tanzania and Burundi as well as Mixed Migration and Regional Durable Solutions Secretariats.Provide support to the Grants Management team in ensuring high quality grants’ administration and compliance with both DRC and donor requirements. This entails: regularly reviewing and updating the Grants Module in the DRC Dynamics System database; ; review of reports for both external and internal use; provide an oversight on the implementation of systems and procedures that are in compliance with both DRC and donor regulations.
