Quintin performs a number of key roles at Gay Lea Foods Co-operative. As Director of Training and Development, he is responsible for leading the development and implementation of leadership and governance training programs for both employees and members, delegates and directors of Gay Lea Foods. Gay Lea Foods is one of the largest dairy processors in Canada and is owned by over 1400 farmers across Ontario and Manitoba. Its family of businesses span 14 production facilities in Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta where it manufactures milk, dips, cream, butter, sour cream, whipped cream, cottage cheese and skim milk powder and employs over 1000 staff. Prior to joining Gay Lea, Quintin was responsible for research, education and member services at the Canadian Co-operative Association based in Ottawa. He oversaw the development of the award-winning Leadership in Governance director development program in partnership with Gay Lea. He also was the Principal Investigator of the Measuring the Co-operative Difference Research Network - a $1 million SSHRC funded research project to measure the impact co-ops and credit unions have on their communities.For over 20 years, Quintin has developed and led projects on behalf of government departments, development agencies and private corporations in the UK, Ukraine, Ireland and Canada - relating to healthcare, financial services, rural development and the co-operative sector. He is a graduate of the University of London, UK. He is also Lead Faculty for the Master Certificate in Performance and Learning Competencies for the Institute for Performance and Learning. In his spare time, he is Chair of Innovation Guelph - a regional innovation centre helping business scale up and grow.In 2014, he became a Fellow of the Plunkett Foundation. He is a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) through the Institute for Performance and Learning.
