I worked in Manila, Philippines as a SEED development representative. On this I taught financial literacy, operations management, and business principles to small business owners through one-on-one consulting, group meetings, and stage talks. This role included leading office performance improvement projects, training employees in computer programs such as excel, and teaching entrepreneurship classes at the 2nd best performing junior college in the Philippines. We partnered with Operation Underground Railroad to improve the quality of life of slavery and trafficking victims through micro loans and self reliance classes.

I worked full time monitoring security events and providing support in the 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC) of Security On-Demand. Security On-Demand (SOD) is a world-class Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) that serves hundreds of companies, at a global scale, processing and analyzing billions of log events and distilling them into focused analytic and heuristic samples, which I use in my work to hunt the pre-and-post-compromise detection of network attacks alongside a team of SOD Cyber-Security Analysts and Engineers. Together we monitor and detect the potential compromise, deficiency, intrusion and other significant network security threats.

This customer facing role as a Service Desk Technician, I am responsible for answering customer phone calls, and giving support on incidents and requests. This involves creating a positive customer experience by building a relationship with clients and ensuring customer satisfaction and resolution. Some of my other tasks include configuring devices using Linux and VMWare tools. I am responsible for documenting all of my progress when dealing with client requests, as well as triaging internal incidents. I also am responsible for configuring and changing data on network devices such as FortiGate and Cisco ASA firewalls. This position gives me opportunity to train other less experienced service desk staff in tasks, and procedures.
