The Drainwave collects and retains waste water generated from various sources within the building, temporarily storing these small volumes until a volume of 9.5 Litres have been collected, upon which the Drainwave release this volume in a pulse flush, thus ensuring waste matter within the pipes is transported through and out of the Drainage system. This approach enables building and hydraulic designers to utilise ultra low flush toilets (3 Litres and less) and other water efficient plumbing fixtures and fittings to be utilised without the risk of causing chaotic conditions within the drain lines. Chaotic conditions exist when there is not adequate water entering the drain lines to transport and remove solid waste matter for the drainpipes, which may lead to blockages and surcharge overflows.The Drainwave has also been successful used to overcome issues related to aged and sagging building infrastructure, thus allowing the installation of contemporary and modern plumbing fixtures without the need to replace the drainage infrastructure.
