● Work in a team setting in Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation● Responsible for the individual treatment plans of up to 32 cardiac and pulmonary patients - communicating with the Medical Director to approve proposed plans and communicating with the patients' referring physician as necessary.● Lead patients through orientation sessions in accordance with AACVPR guidelines; including a functional capacity test to determine heart rate response and aid in writing individualized exercise prescriptions detailing the most beneficial modalities for cardiovascular improvement.● Monitor up to 16 patients on telemetry units per exercise class, with experience in reading EKG rhythms and recognition of arrhythmias.● Hook patients up to portable ECG monitors● Assist patients with exercise equipment while monitoring their heart rates and blood pressure● Gauge levels of difficulty for patients based on the Borg Perceived Exertion Scale● Assist with Bruce protocol testing● Assist with cardiac stress testing● Work directly with a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physicians Assistant to administer cardiac stress tests.● Monitor ECG for rhythm changes during stress test.● Prep patients for their test by explaining what type of test they are having, starting IV's, placing electrodes, and getting baseline blood pressure and rhythm strips.● Record and chart patients blood pressure, heart rate, and rhythm changes during their test using a Philips ST80i.
