LIFE+ Monitoring expert (Environment Policy & Governance / Nature / Biodiversity) for the French team under the LIFE+ funding programme of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment.NEEMO EEIG monitors are senior experts skilled in environmental management and nature conservation issues addressed by the LIFE programme. In addition to their technical expertise, they are experienced in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes and/or projects. Their local knowledge of the socio-economic context and regulatory framework grants them in-depth insight into the variety of challenges faced by the LIFE projects and their stakeholders.The work undertaken by LIFE monitors goes somewhat further than the monitoring common in other EU programmes as defined in the Project Cycle Management. NEEMO's monitoring support not only includes the regular monitoring of the LIFE projects’ technical and financial progress, but also the evaluation of the projects' outputs and results in terms of policy impact, replication potential, transferability, etc. NEEMO experts also conduct ex-post missions, with a view to assessing their long-term impacts and sustainability.
