I manage a team of Software Engineers, Test Engineers (sdets), and Release Engineers. We manage the build, release and test pipelines for CI/ CD across Fitbit Firmware, WearOS apps and other Mobile Apps inside Google.

-Managing a SW test team responsible for driving automation efforts across the organization-Managing a FW test team responsible for delivering the user experience of our watches and trackers-Areas covered include but not limited to; Android automation, iOS automation, Web Automation, API, back-end services testing, microservices testing, manual testing, test planning/ documentation, architecture design, firmware testing and automation and the occasional table tennis coverage.-Occassionally write some code :)

-Managed the QA responsibilities for the successful launch of new application design by working internally with team while coordinating efforts from outsourced QA group.-Extending Android automation test suites with Espresso and UI Automator ensuring all key application features are covered nightly.-Implemented or advocate usage of new tools to better improve testing coverage and create reporting visibility.-Putting out fires on the daily!-Successfully managing/ testing releases from week to week by implementing/ improving processes while advocating for high quality software.-Leading other QA Engineers into learning new skills and identifying gaps in process.-Individual contributor on team responsible for implementing new libraries, new tools and low level changes to the application.-Walking 10,000 steps a day.....not.- And doing a million other things to make sure we don't miss a step.

Created a previously non-existent QA department that facilitated the software releases of 2 flagship products. Implemented and executed new processes, established the benchmark for documentation and developed the tactical and strategic operations for the company with product, development and IT teams. During my time here, I introduced the teams to new tools and new ways to properly release software while minimizing production related issues and ultimately ensuring releases were clean and organized. I implemented a platform for IT and support ticketing that helped prioritize tickets and minimize SLAs. I removed the operations of the company from spreadsheets and chat communications to Jira for better organization. I trained 2 employees on proper QA procedures yet reminding them that QA is about quality and operations, not just testing. Lastly, I was part of the social committee that helped planned parties and ensured company culture stayed exciting and fun :)
