The duties and responsibilities describe how the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer should work what they will be evaluated on: - Apply the tailoring company process to adapt with the specific project needs. - Participate in and chair the project and QMS process reviews. - Take part in auditing projects to make sure the project to align with the agreed working process and ensure the quality of final product ○ Work as process consultant for each project and project team. ○ Involve in the entire software development process to ensure the quality of the final product Create QA plan for each project ○ Inspections, audits, and any other requirements specified for an application; ○ Verify or determine whether products or services meet or exceed customer expectations ○ Evaluate the quality of the work products (Project Planning, Project Management Activities, SRS, URD, Review Code...) of software projects and evaluate the performed processes, standards, work products, and services against the applicable process descriptions, standards, and procedures. ○ Identify and document noncompliance issues. Ensure that noncompliance issues are addressed. ○ Provide feedback to project staff and managers on the results of quality assurance activities. ○ Support the project team in preventing the risk and corrective action plan for project - Provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues (AQA, QA). - Train/ Coach employees to build quality awareness in company. - Plan, maintain and improve company processes. - Work on the process improvement & develop new processes for any missing area - Collect and analyze data for process database after milestone of projects. In this position, I planned 2 months to own the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), a software testing certification board that operates internationally. Finally, I got 38/40 marks in the examination.Besides, in this position, my responsibilities are:- Understand the testing effort of tester by analyzing the requirements of project, then estimate the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.- Organize the testing kick-off meeting- Build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.- Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup.- Assign task to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.- Check / Review the Test Cases documents.- Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.- Attend the regular client call and discuss the weekly status with the client. Communication with the Client (If required).- Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.- Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.- Review and contribute to test plans- Analyze, review and assess user requirements, specifications and models for testability- Create test specifications- Set up the test environment (often coordinating with system administration and network management)- Prepare and acquire test data- Implement tests on all test levels, execute and log the tests, evaluate the results and document the deviations from expected results- Use test administration or management tools and test monitoring tools as required- Automate tests (may be supported by a developer or a test automation expert)- Measure performance of components and systems (if applicable)- Review tests developed by others
