Dr. Boardman completed his degrees in Biology at Brigham Young University-Idaho and his Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Boardman specializes in surgical consultation and post-operative eye care. He manages complex medical cases and ocular diseases including cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and double vision.Dr. Boardman has been trained by some of the leading experts in the field. Dr. Boardman completed clinical rotations in the management of surface ablation refractive surgery in Portland, OR, and managing and diagnosing ocular diseases at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Spokane, WA.He also has training in low vision rehabilitation including specialty care at the Washington State School for the Blind. Dr. Boardman managed diabetic ocular complications and emergency visits for the Sho-Ban tribal population at Not-Tsoo Gah-Nee Indian Health Center in Fort Hall, ID.After graduation, Dr. Boardman has excelled in clinical and post-surgical optometry, practicing in Southeast Idaho, before joining Monson Vision in 2019.In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and participating in athletics, music, outdoor recreation, and rendering service in his church and community.
