Dave Spencer is a mechanical engineer and a creator. He graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked on designing equipment for renewable, military, and subsea applications. In 2016, he switched to his current career at VTScada by Trihedral, where he works on developing and supporting innovative software solutions for industrial control systems. He is also passionate about sharing his knowledge and insights on the latest news and tech in the Industrial Controls industry through VTScada’s YouTube channel, where he solves problems and discusses topics with other experts and enthusiasts. In his spare time, he enjoys living on a hobby farm in rural Nova Scotia. For nearly ten years, he was volunteering for Halifax Search and Rescue, where he specialized in Wilderness First Response and Marine Rescue/Recovery, which taught him valuable skills and gave him a sense of purpose.
