Business and Technology Integration Office (BTIO) plays a pivotal role in the organization’s success as it is uniquely positioned to facilitate enterprise decisions, horizontal strategies and execution of horizontal efforts like Enterprise Portfolio Management and Business Architecture from the business side of the organization. As a Business Executive my responsibilities included:Responsible for State Farm's enterprise prioritization process for the strategic allocation of approximately $450 - $550 million of business strategic funds to systems projects across all business departments. Responsible for the growth and development of State Farm's Business Architecture discipline, best practices and tooling.Responsible for encouraging innovative efforts across the organization. Including the use of a tool (Noragh) to identify potential fraud in partnership with our Claims Special Investigations Unit.

Successfully led multiple large multi-year systems and business strategic programs/service areas from both the business and systems side of State Farm. As a Systems Director the business efforts I was responsible for included: a large PeopleSoft ERP program working with Finance, HR, Purchasing; a large custom product development program working with P&C Underwriting, Actuary, Agency; and, a large custom product development program working with Life/Health. As a Business Director I supported the execution of a large pricing modernization program working with Underwriting, Actuary and Agency. While in a business director role I co-led the development of the P&C Strategic Operating Plan (SOP) for 2007, 2008 and 2009. The P&C SOP provided the enterprise with a rolling three-year view of the strategic direction for its core P&C products. Broad strategies were outlined to be accomplished which were then broken down into departmental actions plans and metrics - the bridge from strategy to results.

Finance director of a newly formed global IT Audit function supporting audits in 160 counties with staff in London, Philadelphia and Research Triangle Park, NC. Responsible for proactively identifying risk to GSK focusing primarily on the Global IT organization. Member of the Global Internal Audit Management team and Global IT Management Team with staff responsibility in London, Philadelphia and Research Triangle Park. Services provided by the IT Audit group include project consulting/internal control guidance on system development/business process reengineering projects, policy and procedure reviews to infrastructure audits.

Responsible for Project Management Reviews and IT Audits of major efforts within the company's Finance Division. Including a large multi-site SAP implementation (6 sites in the UK and 1 on Singapore), company wide process improvement efforts and other package software projects in the US and UK.
