Accounting practice has concentrated on services to nonprofit and real estate organizations. Regular engagements of the practice Include auditing non-profit organizations in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS), government auditing standards, OMB A-133, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other regulatory requirements. The practice has successfully passed all peer review requirements since the peer review program was implemented by the accounting profession. From 1994 to 2008, substantial time of the practitioner was spent with a real estate investment trust as controller supervising an accounting staff of 3 at the New York City headquarters. The practitioner developed and managed external financial relationships (e.g., banks, insurers, tax authorities, independent auditors and other regulators) and constantly looked for ways to strengthen overall financial performance of the Organization. Since inception, the practice has prepared tax returns for individuals and client organizations.
